QC for Malaysia

QC offers comprehensive data protection and privacy consulting for Malaysia. It tailors and customises the Malaysian stakeholders’ needs based on the recommended code of practice of the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) 2010 and the accompanying compliance and practices’ provisions. In order to accomplish QC’s stakeholders’ terms of reference, QC leads, communicates and collaborates with the Data Protection Commissioner, Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners, Data User Forum, Personal Data Protection Advisory Committee and the Appeal Tribunal on any related matters pertaining to the PDPA. The nature of representation is based on a collective teamwork and leadership with its exclusive business partner, a leading technology, media and telecommunications legal firm.

QC for ASEAN

QC offers consultative role to lead, engage with, and advise upon, any ASEAN stakeholders who wish to understand, appreciate and implement such Data Protection and Privacy (DPP) initiatives. These involve designing such DPP frameworks, policies, compliance campaigns, data diagnosis, privacy impact assessment, trainings, DPP certifications, and public and private consultations. As part and parcel of QC’s impression to witness ASEAN Community to being in place by 2015-2020, QC seeks to offer such potential DPP consultative roles to any ASEAN members. To achieve this, QC collaborates with academics, global consulting firms, global leading solicitors and industry captains.

QC for the Rest Of The World

QC offers customised and tailored requests for research, country report, specific market research in DPP from the context of Malaysia and ASEAN to other jurisdictions’ DPP consultants, TMT solicitors, global consulting firms, barristers and academics. This is based on the Terms Of Reference (TOR) of their clients and stakeholders’ engagement. Future customised executive and policy-based briefing, presentation and speaking engagement is also open to any interested stakeholders who wishes to gauge the Malaysian and ASEAN experience in DPP. Depending upon the nature of such TOR, QC puts priority to win-win, fair-fair and net-net collaborations, instead of one-sided collaboration.

QC for The World’s Data Protection Day

QC offers and accepts call for participation to celebrate the annual World’s Data Protection Day, which is held every 28th January of the Gregorian calendar year. For 2013 onwards, QC aims to collaborate with Malaysian stakeholders to host the Inaugural Malaysian Data Protection Day. This effort is epitomised as an integral DNA of QC’s corporate responsibility agenda.
