QC to present in 2012 IAITL Conference, Athens, Greece

QC will be presenting a paper titled “Cross-Border Privacy Rules (CBPRs) System; The Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010 Perspectives – Cloud based RFID as a case study” in the forthcoming 7th International Conference on Legal, Security and Privacy issues in IT Law at Athens, Greece, 2nd – 4th October 2012.

QC was cited by Dataguidance in relation to the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010.

On 19th January 2012, QC was cited by Dataguidance in relation to the data regulator’s appointment.

QC has been appointed as Dataguidance Global Contributor for Malaysia.

On December 2011, QC formed a collaboration with Dataguidance to lead Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection updates and developments to the rest of the world. QC would provide quarterly updates and guidance notes from the Malaysian contour.

QC is currently researching on Malaysian Biobank (The Malaysia Cohort Project) and the impact of its governance vis-à-vis the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010’s 7 data protection principles. Expected deliverable: Quarter 1 of 2012.

QC is teaming up with a doctoral researcher, Muhammad Suid of Royal Holloway to examine the privacy, information security and identity management issues in the Total Hospital Information System (THIS). Expected deliverable: Quarter 4 of 2012.
